2HYPE4U Karaoke Show has been in business since
2000. It is owned and operated by Cindy Roberts. She
started out subbing for various KJ's and soon moved into
doing her own weekly scheduled shows as well as doing
private parties. Cindy has a diverse following. Most
are of the age of 30 and above that comes out
specifically to sing. Some are professional singers,
but also has a hefty amount of amateurs that are pretty
steady. She maintains an emailing list of about 200
plus members and sends out weekly advertisements for her
shows and locations.
Even though Cindy is a computer customer support
specialist by trade, she has been a veteran entertainer
for many years. She started out as a competitive
gymnast, dancer, musician and just recently added
singing to her resume in the last few years. She is
also an accomplish writer, publisher of her own
entertainment trade magazine and is an enterprising
entrepreneur.
Last but surely not least, she has sung background and
recorded with and/or for the world renowned
William DeVaughn "Be Thankful For What You Got"
and Barbara Mason "Yes, I'm Ready"
as well as with other local acts. Expanding her
business, she has a small demo recording studio,
provides sound, background music, backing tracks, give
vocal lessons and sings at small functions.
Cindy has also been afforded the opportunity to be the
karaoke host (Colored-okie as they call it) for the
"Tom Joyner's Fantastic Voyage" and "Tom Joyner's
Family Reunion." |
